Abstract:

The bibliography addresses the field of automated text categorisation (ATC), a discipline at the crossroads of machine learning (ML) and information retrieval (IR). ATC is concerned with the automatic construction, by means of ML techniques, of text classifiers, i.e. programs that file text documents under a set of prespecified labels.
